89s Crest Tee

Description

The seal carries everything the label has to say: the name, the 89s monogram, the year it was founded and the phrase it was founded on. Made to connect is what a suited connector does, and what a Friday table does to the six people who keep turning up.

It sits on the left chest, the size of a pocket, in cream. A logo tee usually puts the logo where a billboard would go; this one puts it where a pocket would be, so it reads as a mark and not as a message. From across the room it is a plain dark tee. From across the table it is ours.

Printed on a garment-dyed blank. The dye goes in after the shirt is sewn, so the colour sits a little uneven along the seams and softens with washing instead of going patchy at the shoulders. On a shirt this plain, that is most of what you are looking at.

Three colours, all at the quiet end. Black is a true black, not a washed one. Pepper is a warm charcoal with brown in it. Moss is a grey-green, closer to an old army jacket than to a lawn.
