The manifesto

Made to Connect

Three words that mean two things at once. That’s the whole point of them.

01

Eight-nine suited is not a good hand

It’s a hand that has to be earned. It doesn’t win often. It wins big, and it wins quietly — the board runs out and nobody saw it coming.

Play it from the wrong seat and it costs you a stack. Play it from the right one, against the right person, and it’s the most profitable hand you’ll hold all night. A beginner folds it or overplays it. There is no third option.

We named a clothing label after it because that distinction is the only one we care about.

02

The problem was never the poker. It was the taste

You already know the shirt we mean. Flaming aces, a neon chip, a slogan about going all in. It isn’t cheap because it mentions the game — it’s cheap because nobody spent ten minutes on it.

So we’ll say poker. A spade, a hand, a seat number, the whole vocabulary — printed large when large is right. What we won’t do is dress any of it up like a souvenir stand.

The test isn’t whether a stranger can tell you play. It’s whether you’d still want the shirt if you didn’t.

03

We don’t make anything nobody asked for

Every piece is printed after someone buys it. No warehouse, no forecast, no January stock clearance, and nothing incinerated because it didn’t move.

This is not a claim about saving the planet and we won’t dress it up as one. A cotton t-shirt is a cotton t-shirt. What we can say is that none of ours is destroyed unworn — which is more than most of the clothing made this year will be able to say.

It costs you a few days of patience. We think that’s a fair trade, and we’d rather tell you before you order than apologise after.

04

If a product page doesn’t say it, we’re not claiming it

Where a piece is made from organic or recycled fibre, its own page names the material. Where it isn’t, its page says nothing — and that silence is the answer.

We’ve read the other kind of about page. The one where a brand is “committed to sustainability” across a range that turns out to be four organic items in seventy. That’s not a claim, it’s a decoration.

05

The table is the point

Ask anyone who’s been playing more than ten years why they still turn up, and the honest answer is rarely the money. It’s the same six people, the same seat, the same argument about a hand from 2019 that nobody will ever settle.

Suited connectors connect. So, on the nights that matter, does the table.

That’s what the name means, and it’s the only marketing we’ve got.

Made to connect. Both ways.
