A poker hoodie is a tool, not a costume

Card rooms are air-conditioned on purpose and sessions run long. The hoodie is the layer you put on at hour four without breaking the hand you are in — which is why ours have no drawcords. Nothing to catch on the rail, nothing to fidget with, and one less thing telling the table you are uncomfortable.

American tournament halls are the coldest rooms in the game, and it is not an accident. A Strip property air-conditions a floor built for slot machines and foot traffic, not for nine people sitting still for nine hours; the halls then get colder as they empty out on day two. Atlantic City and the Los Angeles rooms run the same way. That is the situation this is cut for — not a look.

What actually matters

  • Weight. Most poker sweatshirts sold online sit between 240 and 280 g/m². Ours start at 339. You feel it the moment you pick it up, and it is what stops the shoulders going shapeless over a winter.
  • Side-seamed, not tubular. The cheap construction twists in the wash. Ours keeps its line.
  • Full zip or pullover. A zip comes off one-handed mid-hand. A pullover does not. For a long session that is not a style question.

Questions we actually get

Which size?
Relaxed unisex fit, cut to layer over a t-shirt without bunching. If you want it looser, size up — it will not shrink into a slimmer shape on its own. Flat measurements for every size are on the size guide.

Why no drawcords?
They catch on chairs and rails, they end up in your mouth when you are thinking, and they are the first thing to fray. The double-layer hood holds its shape without them.

Is a hoodie allowed in a card room?
In practice, always. The rules that are written down concern offensive apparel and identification, not hoods. The room-by-room detail is here.
