These terms govern every order placed on 89suited.com. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, write to hello@89suited.com and a person will answer.
Who you are buying from
89 Suited is operated by Didier Rieder, a sole trader established in Switzerland. There is no company behind the name — one person owns it, runs it and answers the email.
Contact: hello@89suited.com, +41 79 771 35 18, or by post at Didier Rieder, Chemin de Panlièvre 16, 1266 Duillier, Switzerland. Email is read the same day and is the one we answer fastest.
Prices, currency and tax
- All prices are shown in US dollars and include no sales tax, VAT or duty.
- Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address and shown before you pay. You will never discover a charge after the fact.
- Import duties and local taxes are yours. If your country charges them on arrival, that cost is not included in the price and we cannot estimate it for you.
- Your bank may apply a currency conversion fee if your account is not in dollars. That fee is between you and your bank.
How an order works
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract exists when we send you the order confirmation email. Until then, we may decline an order — for example if a product is discontinued, if a price was displayed wrongly, or if the delivery address cannot be served.
Every item is made after you order it. Nothing is held in stock. Production takes two to five business days before anything is shipped, and that time is in addition to the delivery estimate shown at checkout.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Depending on your device you may also be offered Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay or Link — all handled by Stripe or the provider concerned, not by us.
Your card statement will show 89SUITED.COM.
Delivery
We print regionally where we can. Orders are produced and dispatched from the facility closest to your address, which for most of our range today means the United States.
Delivery estimates are estimates. Busy periods, customs and remote addresses add days. We would rather tell you that here than apologise for it later. If a parcel has not moved for ten days, write to us and we will chase it.
Risk of loss passes to you on delivery, not on dispatch. If it does not arrive, that is our problem to solve.
Returns, exchanges and your right to change your mind
Full details are on the returns page, and they form part of these terms. In short:
- Wrong, damaged or defective: tell us within 30 days of delivery, send a photograph, and we replace it or refund it. You do not pay to return it.
- Wrong size: write to us. Because every piece is made to order, we cannot resell a returned item — but we would rather solve it than have you keep something that does not fit.
- Simply changed your mind: made-to-order goods are, in most jurisdictions, exempt from the statutory right of withdrawal precisely because they are produced for one customer. We are not going to hide behind that. Write to us.
Nothing here limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country.
What we do not promise
Colours on a screen are not colours on cotton. Garment-dyed fabric varies between batches on purpose — that is the process, not a fault. Measurements on the size guide are taken flat and carry the usual tolerance of a sewn garment.
Where a product page makes no claim about a material, a certification or an origin, we are making no claim.
Our designs
The 89 Suited name, the 89s monogram, the seal and the artwork on our garments belong to us. Buying a shirt buys you the shirt. It does not buy you the right to reproduce what is printed on it.
Liability
We are liable for what we get wrong: a defective garment, a failed delivery, an incorrect charge. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for an order will not exceed what you paid for it. Nothing in this section excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Swiss law, and the ordinary courts of Switzerland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, nor of the right to bring a claim in your own courts where that right exists.
Before any of that: write to hello@89suited.com. Almost everything is solved that way.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
